MAE LabWorks is currently available to all USU Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students and faculty.
When can I use MAE LabWorks?
Lab availability varies each semester. The most recent MAE LabWorks schedule is posted on the Scheduling page. Contact a Student Lab Tech (SLT) to schedule specific equipment and additional scheduling information.
What equipment is available?
MAE LabWorks has a wind tunnel, tensile tester, heat treatment, furnace, MyDAQs, and much more available to students and faculty. For more information about what equipment is available, check out the Equipment page. For questions about the equipment or additional materials please contact a Student Lab Tech (SLT).
How can I check out equipment?
Almost all portable equipment is available to be checked out for class projects or experimentation. Talk to a Student Lab Tech (SLT) to get started! You will need to provide your student email (or preferred contact) in case we need to contact you.
What's the difference between a class TA and Student Lab Tech (SLT)?
Student Lab Techs (SLTs) are here to assist with the LabWorks lab spaces. This includes equipment, lab instructions, lab availability, and training.
Class TAs help students with questions regarding course content, data analysis, or lab reports.
